Program - The program will occur 1-2 times a month either
after school or on Saturdays - Adolescent teachers, aged 14-19 will act
as peer mentors and educators for children aged 5-12 - Group classes and
individual lessons will be held in guitar, keyboards, percussion, flute, recorder,
violin, saxophone, art and acting/drama - Instruments and supplies will
be provided for students - At the end of the school year, the children will
perform in a concert and art work will be displayed. - Guest teaching artists

Notes is dedicated to providing arts education and appreciation of the performing
and visual arts for financially disadvantaged youth in the Delaware Valley. Purpose Teen
peer leaders/mentors will serve as arts educators, conducting one on one lessons
and group classes in music, art and acting. The goals are: o To provide
a fun opportunity for young people to experience a different culture o To
develop inherent talents and improve self esteem o To fill the void that
is created due to decreased funding of the arts in public schools o To provide
young people interested in the arts a way of serving as community leaders
