Paul Gold, BA - UCLA Paul Gold launched his directorial career in New York directing several commercials while serving as a Creative Director / Exec. Producer on such accounts as Merrill Lynch , Bausch & Lomb, Ray-Ban, Fema , Milk, Pfizer, The New York Times, Nynex, US Postal, AT&T and Mobil. Paul has created and produced numerous campaigns for clients including Apple, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Visa, and United States Postal Service. His work has earned numerous awards at shows including Cannes, The Art Directors Club, the Clios, the Andy's, Design & Art Direction Awards, the Director’s Guild of America and the London Film Festival. The “Barn” commercial which he directed for Merrill Lynch was recognized by the London Film Festival.
Since departing from the agency side Paul has directed commercial, shorts and corporate films for such clients as Brystol Myers, Chase Bank, Remington, Centrum Vitamins, Liberty Medical and Lockheed Martin.
He has also co-written, produced and directed an awarding winning comedy short called The Big Day. He has also worked on such shows as Dawson’s Creek, A pilot for Strong Medicine and The Dead Zone. Paul and his writing partner are writing two scripts, one a romantic comedy and the other a psychological thriller for the producing team of Rosenthal and Konner. and Lions Gate. Educated at the School of Visual Arts and Art Students League in Fine Arts and Design and the U C L A film school, Paul continues to enjoy painting and exhibiting his work. He lives in New York City and Bucks County, Pennsylvania. |
